Mobile Forklift Engineer - Hertfordshire

Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair materials handling equipment, including forklifts, side loaders and reach trucks.
- Diagnose faults and identify potential repairs to maximise equipment reliability and uptime.
- Complete service records, job sheets, parts orders and warranty work accurately.
- Provide a professional and high-quality service to customers.
- Plan and book scheduled maintenance with customers.
- Prioritise and manage your workload effectively.
- Ensure chargeable work and scheduled servicing are completed within agreed timescales.
- Maintain regular communication with the service team regarding completed work, estimates, damage reports and outstanding jobs.
- Carry out lifting equipment inspections when required.
- Carry out PAT testing when required.
- Follow all site health and safety requirements and wear the appropriate PPE at all times.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required as part of the role.
Experience you will have:
- Ideally, previous experience servicing, repairing or maintaining forklifts, plant machinery, MHE or similar equipment.
- Experience with materials handling equipment, construction or agricultural machinery, powered access equipment or similar would be advantageous.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- A good Light Vehicle Technician background will also be considered.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence
- Basic Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 dependent on experience
- overtime paid at 1.5x.
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
- weekend call-out rota (to be discussed at interview)
