Location: Wellingborough and surrounding areas
Basic Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
OTE: £45,000 - £51,500+
We are recruiting for a Field Based Engineer to join a busy team based in Wellingborough.
Due to an increase in workload, the successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a range of equipment across a fleet of brands.
You'll work across a range of leading forklift and materials handling brands, including Yale, Hyster, JCB, Combilift and Aisle-Master.
Daily responsibilities:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of equipment.
- Working on scissor lifts, reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and engineering issues.
- Travelling to customer sites to complete planned and reactive work.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Completing relevant service and maintenance documentation.
- Participating in an on-call rota when required, with volunteers sought where possible.
Experience you will need:
- Experience as a Forklift engineer or agricultural technician
- Proven experience of servicing, maintaining & repairing diesel engines
- Confident working with electrics, hydraulics and diagnostic equipment
- Full UK driving licence
Package:
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
- Basic salary: £35,000 - £40,000
- OTE: £45,000 - £51,500+ (based on 5 hours overtime a week)
- Overtime paid at 1.3x Monday-Friday, 1.5x Saturday and 2x Sunday.

- Occasional on-call allowance/rota.
