Mobile HGV/PSV Technician – Coventry (UK Wide Travel)

Hours: 08:00 – 16:00 (8-hour working day) – based at Coventry site, with UK wide travel
Full time, permanent

Earning Potential – Salary:
£22.30 per hour
Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate

Overview
Volvo is seeking an experienced Mobile HGV/PSV Technician to join their Service Market Team. This is a varied and rewarding role combining technical expertise, customer support, and nationwide travel. If you're Level 3 qualified and looking for a role with real variety and independence, this is the one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out Pre Delivery Inspections (PDIs) in accordance with manufacturer standards

  • Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HGV and PSV vehicles

  • Providing technical support and guidance to dealerships and service partners

  • Conducting technical investigations and supporting field-based rectification activities

  • Preparing and inspecting used vehicles to ensure quality standards are met

  • Installing additional vehicle equipment – CCTV systems, USB charging points, and vehicle monitors

What You'll Need

  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) – essential

  • Proven experience within the HGV or PSV industry – essential

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

  • Full UK driving licence – PSV licence desirable but not essential
