About the Role

As a Mobile Hose Engineer, you'll be the frontline expert our customers rely on to minimise downtime and keep their operations running smoothly. Every day brings variety, from rapid breakdown response to scheduled on-site service work. Equipped with a fully stocked company van and supported by industry-leading systems, you'll deliver fast, high-quality hydraulic solutions directly to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve hydraulic hose breakdowns efficiently
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction
  • Identify upsell opportunities and build strong client relationships
  • Complete service documentation accurately and professionally
  • Maintain a clean, organised, fully stocked company vehicle
  • Work closely with the Service Controller to ensure seamless operations
  • Participate in the on-call rota as detailed below

Working Hours

  • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
  • Overtime is paid after 5:00pm when not on call, and must be agreed with your manager beforehand
  • Any bank holidays worked are credited back as days in lieu

On-Call Rota

  • One week in four on-call
  • Call-outs before 8:00am and after 5:00pm
  • Standby fee of £10 per day while on call
  • £25 per call-out (minimum of three hours)

About You

We're seeking experienced Hydraulic Mobile Hose Engineers with:

  • 3–5+ years' industry experience
  • The confidence to work independently
  • The ability to mentor and support junior engineers
  • A strong customer-first mindset
  • Reliability, punctuality, and pride in their work
  • A full UK Driving Licence

Experienced candidates who can hit the ground running, along with strong references within the industry, will be particularly well placed.
