Mobile Installation Engineer
Alecto Recruitment
£40,000-£45,000 + Door‑to‑Door Pay + Strong Overtime Earnings Monday-Friday
If you're an experienced auto‑electrical engineer who's ready for a role where your skills actually matter - not just another "fit this, fix that" job - this opportunity is built for you.
You'll be installing advanced vehicle safety systems, video telematics, and AI‑powered technology used by major UK fleets. This is hands‑on engineering with real impact, working across HGVs, LGVs, vans, and specialist vehicles.
If you want a role that challenges you, grows you, and pays you properly for your expertise, keep reading.
Why This Role Stands Out
Most installation roles are repetitive. Same vans. Same kit. Same faults.
This one isn't.
You'll work across multiple commercial vehicle types, install intelligent safety systems, blind‑spot technology, and AI‑enhanced video platforms - and you'll be trusted to work independently with full door‑to‑door pay.
You'll also support new product testing and work alongside a development team shaping the next generation of fleet technology.
If you're ambitious and technically sharp, this role gives you room to grow.
What You'll Be Doing
Travelling to customer sites and representing the brand professionally
Installing advanced vehicle CCTV, telematics, and safety systems
Fitting blind‑spot detection sensors, alarms, and safety equipment
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs during service visits
Supporting new technology rollouts and assisting with product testing
Managing your own workload with independence and responsibility
Earning door‑to‑door pay for every minute you're working
This is a role where you become the engineer customers rely on - the one who solves problems others can't.
What You Need
Experience working with HGVs, LGVs, vans, or specialist commercial vehicles
Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems (12V / 24V)
Proven diagnostic and fault‑finding ability

Auto‑electrical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent experience)
