Mobile Mechanical Engineer
Mon-Fri 8am-5pm 1 week in 7 On Call

What we’re looking for:
A Mechanical Engineer working to a high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within high end residential environments and with the utmost regard for customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to design mechanical systems for building projects.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into building designs.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to installation teams to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify system performance, functionality, and safety.
- Address any issues or deviations from design during installation and commissioning phases.
- Develop and implement maintenance programs for mechanical systems to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to identify and address equipment malfunctions or deficiencies.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and implement appropriate repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and prioritize maintenance activities.
- Evaluate and optimize the energy efficiency of mechanical systems through design enhancements and retrofits.
- Recommend and implement sustainable solutions to minimize environmental impact.
- Conduct energy audits and recommend energy conservation measures.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to energy-efficient mechanical systems.
- Provide technical expertise and support to clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Advise on the selection of mechanical equipment, systems, and materials.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and value engineering assessments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and overcome technical challenges.
- Interact with clients to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and address concerns.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure client satisfaction.
- Communicate project updates, schedules, and deliverables effectively to clients.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2-3 Mechanical Discipline or City and Guilds equivalent)
Full Clean Driving Licence
Capable of undertaking Remedial and Reactive Repairs with minimal supervision.
IOSH Working / Managing Safely (Desirable)
Safe system of Work Procedure – PTW; RAMS etc (Desirable)
L8 Training (Desirable)
