Alecto Recruitment is working with a highly respected specialist in the recycling machinery sector, supplying, installing and maintaining industry-leading baling presses, shredders and conditioning equipment for customers across the UK and overseas.

Salary & Benefits:

• Basic Salary: Up to £50,000

Overtime paid at:

• Monday-Friday after 7.5 hours - 1.5x
• Saturday - 1.5x
• Sunday - 2x

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday
08:30 - 16:30

The Role:

• Install, commission, service and repair baling presses, shredders and conditioning equipment across customer sites throughout the UK.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Travel nationwide with regular overnight stays, including periods away from home of up to two weeks where required.
• Complete detailed service reports, time sheets and job documentation.
• Support the workshop team during quieter periods when field work is not scheduled.
• Participate in weekend work and overtime as required to support customer requirements.
• Occasional overseas travel for installation and service work.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Plant Engineer, Recycling Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or similar.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on heavy machinery, industrial equipment, recycling machinery, plant machinery or similar.
• Comfortable travelling extensively throughout the UK with regular overnight stays.
• Flexible approach to working hours, overtime and weekends.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
