We are pleased to present an excellent opportunity for a Mobile Plant Engineer in Slough, Berkshire, on behalf of our client, a reputable national fleet and plant maintenance company. The Mobile Plant Engineer role is ideally suited for skilled professionals with experience in HGV or vehicle maintenance, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics. Our client values proactive, customer-focused Mobile Plant Engineers committed to operational excellence.

Duties:
  • Service, inspect, and repair plant equipment including diggers, dumpers, telehandlers, trailers, pallet trucks, and pumps
  • Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure fleet reliability
  • Perform refurbishments and replacements as needed
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and quality guidelines
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification
  • Experience as an HGV or Plant Technician
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own tools (specialist tools provided by the company)
  • Proactive approach with a focus on customer service and quality
  • Demonstrable experience in hydraulic and electrical systems is advantageous
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations within plant and fleet maintenance
