Mobile Plant Fitter in Southampton, Hampshire

£20+ per hour * Company van * 7am-4pm * 28 days holiday * Overtime available if wanted

If you're an experienced Plant Fitter looking for predictable hours, a solid hourly rate and a mixed workload, this South Coast role offers a proper step up.

You'll split your time between the workshop and construction sites across Southampton and the wider South Coast, working on a varied fleet of plant, machinery and small tools. No repetitive days - you'll handle everything from routine servicing to full mechanical repairs, plus on‑site breakdowns when equipment needs getting back online quickly.

• Servicing and maintaining plant

• Diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic faults

• Major mechanical repairs

• Repairing small tools and site equipment

• Breakdown call‑outs to construction sites

• Preventative maintenance

• Preparing machinery to minimise downtime

• Working independently and within the wider engineering team

You'll ideally have:

• Experience repairing and maintaining plant, machinery or similar equipment

• NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent)

• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault‑finding skills

• Experience with construction plant or heavy machinery

• Confidence working independently on site

• Full UK driving licence

• £20+ per hour (experience dependent)

• 7am-4pm, Monday to Friday

• Company van provided

• 28 days annual leave (5 retained for Christmas)

• Overtime available if wanted

• Workshop + mobile role across Southampton / South Coast
