Mobile Refrigeration Engineer in Hackney, Greater London

We are looking for a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Engineer to join a growing mobile engineering team, covering a portfolio of commercial sites across North East London and Essex. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial refrigeration, alongside the ability to carry out air conditioning service and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and repairs on a range of commercial refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose faults and undertake reactive repairs, ensuring equipment is returned to full working order with minimal disruption to the client.
• Carry out servicing and maintenance on air conditioning systems, including general fault-finding and repairs where required.
• Work across a varied portfolio of commercial environments, ensuring all refrigeration and HVAC equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Complete accurate service reports, job sheets and compliance documentation using company-issued mobile technology.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service when working on client sites, representing the business to a high standard.

About You

• Previous experience working as a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer within commercial, retail, FM or building services environments.
• Strong commercial refrigeration experience is essential.
• Experience working on air conditioning systems is highly desirable.
• FGAS Category 1 certification is essential.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent qualification is preferred, although relevant industry experience will be considered.
• IPAF and PASMA would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.

The Package

• £48,000 - £55,000 salary, depending on experience.
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.
• Travel time built into the working day.
• Company van and fuel card.
• Mobile phone and PDA provided.
• 23 days annual leave + bank holidays.
• 1-in-8/9 call-out rota, paid door-to-door.
• Minimum 4-hour payment when called out.
