Mobile Vehicle Technician – Join a Growing Fleet Maintenance TeamWe are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Vehicle Technician to join a well-established commercial fleet business covering customer sites across Croydon and the surrounding areas.
This Mobile Vehicle Technician role is field-based, maintaining and repairing fleets of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) at customer locations. You'll be provided with a fully equipped company van and fuel card, allowing you to work independently while delivering a high standard of service. If you're looking for a permanent Monday to Friday role with no weekend working, this is an excellent opportunity.
The RoleAs a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you will carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on customer LCV fleets across multiple client sites.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Routine servicing and scheduled maintenance on light commercial vehicles
- Mechanical repairs and fault finding
- Diagnosing vehicle faults using manufacturer and multi-brand diagnostic equipment
- MOT preparation and vehicle inspections
- Identifying additional repair requirements
- Completing job cards and service documentation accurately
- Providing excellent customer service while representing the business professionally on-site
- Up to £21.36 per hour
- Fully equipped company van
- Fuel card provided
- Monday to Friday working only
- Late shift pattern
- Permanent, secure position with an established commercial fleet business
- Autonomous mobile working environment
- Monday to Friday
- Approximately 12:00pm – 10:00pm
- 45-50 hours per week
- 9.5-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid break
- Flexible start and finish times depending on workload
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI)
- Previous experience as a Mobile Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic, servicing and mechanical repair skills
- Experience working on light commercial vehicles (LCVs)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
