We are seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician on behalf of a reputable UK-wide recovery business, based in Guildford and surrounding areas. This Mobile Vehicle Technician position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians to develop their careers in a dynamic and varied environment, outside traditional garage settings.

  • Competitive basic salary of £45,370, with an OTE of up to £57,000 per annum through overtime and Bonuses
  • Flexible overtime paid at £30 per hour
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota (day off during the week when Saturday is worked)

Duties of a Mobile Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct on-site maintenance and repairs on client vehicles across Guildford and surrounding areas
  • Diagnose electrical and electronic faults efficiently and accurately
  • Undertake repairs, servicing, and diagnostics to a high standard
  • Travel to designated parts providers to commence daily work and return home upon completion, ensuring payment for commute time
  • Provide excellent customer service during on-site visits
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism in all tasks
  • Collaborate with the technical team to resolve complex issues
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments, especially regarding hybrid and electric vehicles
Requirements of a Mobile Vehicle Technician:
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Minimum Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification or equivalent
  • At least three years of post-qualification experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • Experience with electrical systems and diagnostics
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
  • Experience with hybrid/electric vehicles is desirable but not essential
