The Module Build Technician will be responsible for:
- Assembling battery cells and associated mechanical and electrical components into modules, working from engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Using tools, fixtures and equipment to complete precise, consistent builds, handling cells and delicate components with care.
- Carrying out in-process checks and module tests, recording results accurately and escalating any failures.
- Identifying and reporting defects or non-conformities and supporting investigations and corrective actions with engineering and quality teams.
- Maintaining component traceability and accurate build records using CAD viewers and PLM systems.
- Following safe handling procedures, using the required PPE and observing electrical safety and ESD precautions.
- Suggesting improvements to assembly methods, tooling and work instructions.
The Module Build Technician will have:
- Experience in precision assembly, manufacturing or production, ideally within battery, automotive, electrical or electronics environments.
- The ability to follow engineering drawings, technical instructions and assembly procedures.
- Confidence using hand tools, torque-controlled tools and assembly equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to consistent, high-quality work.
- Good practical problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.
- Awareness of battery and electrical safety, with HV training or experience being an advantage.
- Experience assembling battery cells or modules, using CAD/PLM systems, or a technical qualification in an engineering discipline would be desirable.
