We are currently recruiting for a Monitoring Support Officer to join a busy and professional team supporting Electronic Monitoring Services.

This is a varied, people-focused role where you will work alongside Field Monitoring Officers to help ensure monitoring equipment is installed and decommissioned safely and efficiently.

You will be an important extra pair of eyes and ears for the Field Monitoring Officer, supporting them during visits and helping to ensure any risks, safeguarding concerns or service issues are identified and reported promptly.

• Work as part of a team supporting Field Monitoring Officers during visits.
• Assist with the installation and decommissioning of electronic monitoring equipment.
• Act as an additional pair of eyes while the Field Monitoring Officer carries out their duties.
• Assist with carrying equipment - no heavy lifting is involved.
• Communicate professionally with friends, family members and other individuals at the address.
• Take notes and complete other light administrative duties as required.
• Remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging or high-pressure situations.
• Identify and escalate any safeguarding, vulnerability or potential risk concerns.
• Follow company policies, procedures and data protection requirements.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
• Maintain a respectful, professional and non-judgemental approach at all times.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, confident and comfortable working with people in a variety of situations.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a professional customer service environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The confidence to deal with sensitive or challenging situations.
• A strong team-working attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures.
• A calm and professional approach under pressure.
• A good standard of general education, particularly English, or equivalent practical experience.

Desirable: Experience or knowledge of electronic monitoring, criminal justice, safeguarding, public protection or similar services.

• The service operates across extended hours, so you must be able to work the required shift pattern.
• This may include evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is preferred.
• Successful applicants will be required to complete relevant pre-employment checks, including identity, right-to-work and any applicable security or vetting checks.
• Full mandatory training will be provided.
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check as part of the pre-employment screening process.
