Are you a recently qualified MRICS Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career?

Our client, a leading international property consultancy, is looking to appoint a Monitoring Surveyor to join its growing Project & Development Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of high-profile development projects while advising banks, lenders, investors, and funders throughout the construction lifecycle.

You'll join an experienced team delivering independent monitoring services across residential, commercial, industrial, mixed-use and student accommodation developments, giving you exposure to some of the UK's most exciting schemes.

The Opportunity

As a Monitoring Surveyor, you'll play a key role in helping funding institutions manage development risk by providing independent advice and technical reporting throughout the life of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver project monitoring instructions across a wide range of development sectors.

Review development appraisals, project budgets, programmes, procurement strategies and contractual arrangements.

Assess construction and development risks on behalf of banks, lenders and investors.

Produce initial due diligence reports and ongoing monitoring reports.

Carry out regular site inspections to assess progress, quality and programme.

Review drawdown requests and provide recommendations to funding institutions.

Monitor project costs, cash flow, contingencies and variations.

Liaise with developers, contractors, project managers and the wider professional team.

Support senior surveyors on complex and high-value monitoring instructions.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Ensure all work is delivered in line with RICS standards and internal quality procedures.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

MRICS qualification.

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Management or Project Management.

A solid understanding of construction processes and project delivery.

Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.

Excellent report writing and communication abilities.

A proactive approach with great attention to detail.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Desirable Experience

Previous experience within Project Monitoring, Quantity Surveying, Cost Consultancy or Project Management.

Exposure to development finance or lender services.

Knowledge of JCT contracts and development funding structures.

Experience working on residential and commercial developments.
