We are seeking an experienced MOT Technician for a reputable, family-run service centre located in Cheadle, Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled automotive professional to join a busy workshop that values quality work and a supportive team environment. Duties of an MOT Technician:
  • Perform vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance to high standards
  • Conduct MOT testing in accordance with DVSA regulations
  • Carry out repairs confidently and efficiently
  • Assist with general workshop tasks to maintain smooth operations
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Provide excellent customer service with clear communication as an MOT Technician
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work carried out
Requirements of an MOT Technician:
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Proven experience as an MOT Technician, preferably in a main dealership or independent garage
  • Ability to carry out diagnostics and mechanical repairs confidently
  • MOT certification with a valid licence
  • Own tools and the ability to work independently in a busy environment
  • Positive attitude, professional approach, and good communication skills
