We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading automotive service centre and tyre retailer with multiple locations nationwide, for the position of MOT Technician in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.   • Competitive salary between £36,000 and £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Uncapped monthly bonus potential exceeding £3,600.
  • Attractive 42.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.
  • One in two Saturdays, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with a day off in the week when working a Saturday.

Duties of the MOT Technician:
  • Conduct MOT tests in accordance with Ministry standards.
  • Diagnose and carry out vehicle servicing and repair work.
  • Assist in workshop support tasks as necessary.
  • Provide high-quality work within designated timeframes.
  • Occasionally assist at the front reception desk with customer inquiries.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Requirements of the MOT Technician:
  • Proven experience as an MOT Technician.
  • Valid MOT Tester’s licence.
  • Full UK driving licence with minimal points.
  • Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Cheltenham.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and technical knowledge.
  • Friendly, approachable manner suitable for customer-facing interactions.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work efficiently.
