Duties of a MOT Technician :
  • Perform routine servicing and complex mechanical repairs, including clutches, gearboxes, and timing belts
  • Conduct MOT testing (if qualified) and ensure vehicles meet safety standards
  • Manage multiple workloads across two bays, maintaining efficiency and quality
  • Deliver excellent customer service, communicating effectively with clients
  • Ensure high standards of repair accuracy and vehicle safety compliance
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety procedures
Requirements of a MOT Technician :
  • Skilled and qualified mechanic with relevant certifications
  • Proven experience in mechanical repairs and diagnostics
  • MOT tester certification would be advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics and customer communication
