We are recruiting an Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester on behalf of our client, an independent garage located in Paignton, Devon. This is an outstanding opportunity for experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Testers to join a reputable, family-owned business committed to delivering high standards of service and supporting staff development.

  • Variety of duties including diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and MOT testing in a modern workshop
Duties:
  • Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards as an Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester
  • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently as an Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester
  • Complete accurate documentation and maintain detailed service records
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
  • Work independently or alongside team members as required in the role of Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Valid MOT licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester in a workshop environment
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills necessary for a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester role
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify and rectify faults
  • Capable of working efficiently, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team in the position of a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester
