We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a MOT Technician position at their busy automotive service centre in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional seeking a stable working environment, competitive salary, and clear career progression.

Duties of the MOT Technician: 
  • Conduct MOT testing in accordance with DVSA regulations
  • Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs
  • Carry out diagnostics and mechanical work on various vehicle systems
  • Complete vehicle health checks and prepare inspection reports
  • Identify additional repairs and communicate findings effectively
  • Use wheel alignment equipment and perform wheel alignment tasks
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop to ensure safety and efficiency
Requirements of the MOT Technician:
  • Valid MOT Tester licence and/or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Previous experience within a professional automotive workshop
  • Strong mechanical skills and diagnostic ability as a MOT Technician
  • Experience with servicing, repairs, and troubleshooting vehicle systems
  • Customer-focused approach with good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
