We are seeking a dedicated MOT Technician to join a well-established multi-site automotive group in Portsmouth. This MOT Technician role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a reputable dealership, known for quality service and customer satisfaction. The successful individual will be responsible for maintaining high standards across vehicle repairs, servicing, and MOT testing, working in a modern, fully equipped workshop environment.

Duties of a MOT Technician:
  • Conduct vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance to a high standard
  • Perform diagnostics and fault-finding on a range of vehicle makes and models
  • Complete work within specified timeframes and ensure quality standards are met
  • Accurately record all work carried out in company systems
  • Participate in manufacturer training to maintain technical proficiency
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Conduct MOT testing in accordance with DVSA standards
Requirements of a MOT Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Mechanical or Repair
  • Proven experience as a MOT Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills across various vehicle types
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Full UK driving licence, ideally with a clean record
  • MOT testing experience (training can be provided to the right individual)
