A major new vehicle preparation centre is coming to Portbury, and we're looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join the team from the start.

You'll be working in a brand-new, state-of-the-art preparation centre, with modern workshop technology, excellent facilities and a professional working environment.

The Role

As an MOT Tester, you'll carry out Class 4 and Class 7 MOT tests, ensuring vehicles meet DVSA standards and are safe and roadworthy.

You'll also:

• Accurately assess vehicle roadworthiness and identify defects
• Complete MOT documentation and digital records
• Work closely with technicians to ensure failed vehicles are repaired and retested promptly
• Carry out vehicle health checks where required
• Identify additional repair requirements
• Ensure MOT testing equipment is maintained and calibrated
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Follow all DVSA, company and health & safety requirements
• Support the wider workshop and preparation teams

About You

You'll need:

• A current and valid DVSA MOT Tester qualification
• Previous MOT testing experience
• Good mechanical knowledge and understanding of modern vehicles
• Excellent attention to detail
• A strong commitment to safety and compliance
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A full UK driving licence
