We are working on behalf of a reputable used car dealership in Avonmouth, Bristol, to recruit a skilled and experienced MOT Tester. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to join a well-established company with long-term career prospects.
The role of MOT Tester in Avonmouth involves delivering comprehensive MOT testing services in accordance with government standards, ensuring customer safety and satisfaction. The successful individual will also be responsible for diagnosing vehicle issues, performing related repairs, and supporting the workshop team to maintain efficient operations.

  • Salary up to £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience
  • 45-hour per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm

Duties of the MOT Tester:
  • Conduct MOT tests on various vehicles adhering to government standards
  • Diagnose faults and carry out associated repairs and servicing
  • Maintain accurate completion of MOT documentation
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow within the workshop
  • Support workshop operations as needed to meet customer service standards
Requirements of the MOT Tester:
  • Valid Class 4 and Class 7 MOT testing licence
  • A clean UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Ideally qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; individuals with extensive hands-on experience and active MOT licence will also be considered
  • Good team player with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of vehicle safety and compliance
