We are recruiting on behalf of our client, one of the UK’s leading automotive tyre and fast-fit centre groups, for a highly skilled Floating MOT Tester to join their team in Bristol. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple sites within the Bristol region, providing key MOT testing services in accordance with government standards.

Duties of an MOT Tester:
  • Conduct MOT tests in line with government standards
  • Support customer communication throughout the process, explaining test results and required repairs
  • Diagnose and carry out repairs or service works as required
  • Provide workshop support and liaise effectively with team members as an MOT Tester
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Support ongoing customer relationship building through professional and informative service
  • Work flexibly across multiple centres within the Bristol region, adhering to pre-arranged schedules 
Requirements of an MOT Tester:
  • Valid Class 4 and Class 7 MOT test licences
  • UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Ideally NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Alternatively, extensive hands-on vehicle mechanic experience with an active MOT licence
  • Excellent communication skills and team-player attitude
  • Ability to adapt to varying workshop environments and maintain high standards of safety and quality
