We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading automotive group based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, for the position of MOT Tester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced MOT Tester seeking to advance their career within a reputable organisation.

Duties as a MOT Tester will include:
  • Conduct all aspects of MOT testing in accordance with government standards to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
  • Support customers through the MOT process, providing updates and advice on required work and reasons for test failures
  • Diagnose and carry out associated vehicle repairs and servicing when applicable
  • Maintain accurate records of testing and service activities
  • Liaise effectively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow within the workshop
  • Uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times
Requirements:
  • Possession of an active Class 4 and Class 7 MOT testing licence
  • Valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points
  • Relevant qualifications such as IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred, or extensive hands-on experience in vehicle mechanics with a valid MOT licence
  • Strong communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and customer service focus
  • Ability to work flexibly within the established working hours, with willingness to cover occasional Saturday shifts
