Our client, a reputable family-run car garage in Dartford, is seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join their friendly team. This MOT Tester role presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to develop their career within a well-established business that prioritises quality and customer service. The MOT Tester will be responsible for conducting MOT tests according to industry standards, ensuring efficient and thorough vehicle assessments.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary of £36,000 per annum, with potential to earn up to £40,000 including overtime and incentives
  • Full-time, permanent position with 20 days' holiday plus bank holidays
  • Working hours from 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with optional Saturday shifts (time off in lieu)

Duties:
  • Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles efficiently and to industry standards
  • Ensure all testing procedures are completed accurately within designated times
  • Complete relevant documentation and reports for each vehicle tested
  • Provide advice and feedback to customers, maintaining high levels of customer service
  • Assist with additional vehicle inspections and repairs where required
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the testing bay
Requirements:
  • Valid UK MOT Tester qualification and current certification
  • Experience with 4-post MOT testing equipment
  • Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and testing protocols
  • Reliable, diligent, and well-organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A Class 1 MOT licence or equivalent is essential for this role
