Mot Tester Vehicle Technician

We’re looking for an experienced MOT Tester & Vehicle Technician to join our busy, well-established workshop.

If you’re a skilled technician who takes pride in your work, can diagnose and repair vehicles confidently, and is looking for a stable Monday–Friday role with no weekends, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for carrying out:

• Class 4 MOT testing
• Vehicle servicing and maintenance
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Mechanical repairs
• Routine inspections and general workshop duties

You’ll be working as part of a friendly, supportive team, while also being trusted to work independently and maintain a high standard of workmanship.

What We Offer

• £30,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience
• Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm
• No weekends
• 20 days’ holiday + bank holidays
• Holiday increases by 1 day per year up to a maximum of 25 days

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Full UK Driving Licence covering Class 4 vehicles
• DVSA-approved MOT Tester Licence – Class 4
• Minimum 4 years’ full-time experience servicing and repairing Class 4 vehicles
• Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification (NVQ, VCQ or equivalent) or approved industry accreditation
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work confidently and independently
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A reliable, positive and professional attitude
