Our client, a successful motor vehicle dealership, is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their busy team in Derby.
Role: Motor Trade Accountant
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 basic
Location: Derby
Accountant Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide support to the dealership management team to produce accurate monthly and annual accounts in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Assist the dealership management team with monthly management accounts and information.
- Support with budgeting and forecasting.
- Manage banking and account reconciliations.
- Assist with cash flow, VAT and employment tax returns.
- Take an active role in the management of debtors and creditors.
- Previous experience working within the Automotive sector, ideally within a main dealership environment.
- Previous experience working as an Accountant within the Motor Trade.
- Excellent communication skills, both within the business and when dealing with external providers.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a busy dealership team.
