Shillito Group are recruiting for their client for a Manual Miller to join an established manufacturing business in Rotherham.

The main thing they need here is simple.

Someone who really knows manual milling.

You'll be joining an existing mould repair function, bringing stronger milling capability into the team and helping repair, modify and maintain mould equipment used across production.

You don't need to come from an identical mould shop environment. If you've spent years on manual mills, can work accurately from drawings and are comfortable with proper hands on engineering work, they're interested.

• £37000 which includes shift supplement and attendance bonus
• Monday to Friday
• 6am to 2pm
• Permanent position

• Manual milling of mould and tooling equipment
• Operating XYZ milling machinery
• Repairing and modifying mould equipment
• Working alongside the existing mould repair team
• Reading and working accurately from engineering drawings
• Measuring finished work to required dimensions
• Polishing and finishing components
• Carrying out bench fitting and repair work
• Identifying faults, damage and areas requiring repair
• Blasting mould equipment where required
• Following job cards and specifications accurately
• Supporting production by keeping mould equipment in working condition

The priority for this role is strong, in-depth manual milling experience.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Significant manual milling experience
• A toolroom, machining or general engineering background
• Confidence working from engineering drawings
• Good measuring and inspection skills
• Experience with XYZ machinery would be useful
• Mould repair or bench fitting experience would be an advantage
• Manual turning experience would also be useful, but isn't necessary
