MULTI-SITE FACILITIES CARETAKER

Are you interested in managing multiple sites and facilities and assisting in project developments whilst still taking on day-to-day Caretaker responsibilities?

We are offering a flexible job-share opportunity: 2 part-time Caretakers working 20 hours per week each, sharing the responsibilities of the role. Hours will include mornings or afternoons, with the working pattern agreed between the successful candidates and the organisation.

Alternatively, we will consider one person working the full 40 hours per week, including split shifts. The role requires flexibility, and successful applicants must be willing to work out of office hours when required. Overtime may be available where applicable. The successful candidate(s) will also share responsibility for being on-call for the sites.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Regularly inspecting sites, identifying maintenance issues and carrying out or arranging repairs to ensure a safe, well-maintained environment.
• Organising and scheduling equipment maintenance and servicing tasks.
• Taking responsibility for vehicle safety and basic hydro pool maintenance.
• Working alongside the Health & Safety team to support and oversee development projects across the sites and facilities.
• Overseeing cleaners and managing cleaning operations to maintain high building standards.
• Acting as a key holder and responding appropriately to maintenance, facilities and safety issues.
• Travelling between centres as required to support the organisation's multi-site facilities.
• Carrying out general caretaking, maintenance and handyperson duties.
• Responding proactively and promptly to maintenance and facilities requirements.

Essential Eligibility includes:

• Have experience in caretaking, maintenance and/or handyperson work.
• Be prepared to lone work.
• Be willing to act as a key holder and share responsibility for on-call duties across the sites.
• Hold a full driving licence and be willing to drive to other centres.
• Demonstrate a proactive and responsible approach to maintenance and facilities management.
• Have good attention to detail and the ability to identify and respond to maintenance and safety issues.
• Demonstrate effective time management, initiative and the ability to prioritise tasks in response to operational needs.
