Multi skill shift engineer in Bridgwater

£53- 55k | 4 on / 4 off | 12-hour shifts 

Are you a hands-on Multi-Skilled Engineer who thrives on solving problems and keeping production moving?

We’re looking for a skilled Shift Engineer to join our team, providing first-class mechanical and electrical engineering support across PET extrusion, thermoforming and manufacturing equipment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical & electrical breakdowns
• ⚡ Fault-find across motors, drives, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics & controls
• ️ Complete planned and reactive maintenance
• Carry out root cause analysis and eliminate repeat failures
• Support start-ups, changeovers, upgrades and new equipment
• Drive reliability, TPM and continuous improvement

What we’re looking for:

• Multi-skilled engineering experience with strong mechanical & electrical skills
• Manufacturing, FMCG, plastics, packaging or process industry experience
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• HNC, apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
• PLC, PET extrusion or thermoforming experience is highly desirable

• 4 on / 4 off shift pattern – days & nights
• 23 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing with service
