Multi-Skilled Electrical Shift Technician – Woking

Hours: 40 hours per week
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Electrical Shift Technician to join a Facilities Maintenance team working on a prestigious commercial site in Woking.
This is a great opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who is confident carrying out both electrical and basic mechanical maintenance within a busy, high-specification environment.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday on a rotating weekly shift pattern:
  • 6:00am – 2:30pm
  • 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • 1:30pm – 10:00pm
  • Shared on-call rota – 1 week in 9
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns
  • Complete electrical fault finding and repairs
  • Carry out electrical installation, testing and inspection
  • Maintain lighting and electrical distribution systems
  • Assist with basic mechanical maintenance when required
  • Diagnose faults across building services and plant
  • Respond to emergencies and call-outs
  • Complete accurate PPM records, reports and documentation
  • Work with specialist contractors and other members of the maintenance team
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety requirements
  • Assist other trades and work across disciplines when required
  • Carry out LSP duties in line with L8 requirements when required
Requirements
  • C&G Part 1 & 2 Electrical Installation 2360 or recognised equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar electrical maintenance role
  • Strong electrical fault-finding experience
  • Experience carrying out electrical PPM within commercial buildings
  • Electrical installation, testing and inspection experience
  • Good understanding of critical and non-critical building systems
  • Knowledge of CAFM/PPM systems and PDA use
  • Good understanding of RAMS and health & safety
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent

  • 18th Edition
  • C&G Inspection & Testing or equivalent
  • BMS knowledge
  • Basic mechanical maintenance experience
  • COSHH knowledge
