gap technical are proud to be representing this fantastic FMCG business in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility in Milton Keynes.

Role responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
• Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Completing planned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with food manufacturing standards.
• Working collaboratively with production and engineering teams.

Person Specification

• Relevant Electrical or Mechanical qualifications (NVQ level 3 or equivalent).
• Previous experience within food manufacturing or FMCG environment preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with conveyors, packaging machinery, motors, sensors, and control systems.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment.
• Knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene standards.
