About the Role
We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong mechanical background to join a growing maintenance and engineering team across a portfolio of commercial buildings in London.
This is a foot-mobile role suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is looking to develop their career within building maintenance and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of response for maintenance issues, carrying out initial fault diagnosis and repairs where possible.
- Take pressure and temperature readings and identify whether faults are mechanical, electrical, or controls related.
- Carry out maintenance tasks including:
- Replacing tap cartridges, valves, actuators and TRVs
- Small pipework alterations
- Fan and motor replacements
- Escalate specialist issues and recommend contractors when required.
- Perform regular site inspections, identifying and reporting the need for major repairs.
- Supervise contractors on-site when required and ensure works are completed to the required standard.
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs across buildings, including support with wider operational tasks.
- Undertake light carpentry work such as building cabinets and making minor repairs.

About You
- Proven experience within maintenance, facilities management, or construction environments.
- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Good understanding of mechanical systems and a basic understanding of electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Professional and confident when dealing with clients and building occupiers.
- Well organised with strong attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to health and safety.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic maths skills.
Essential Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in:
- Plumbing
- Heating & Ventilation
- Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- Mechanical Engineering Services
Desirable Qualifications
- Gas Safe Registration
- F-Gas Category I
- Legionella / L8 Water Hygiene
- 18th Edition (C&G 2382)
- City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection
