Sheffield | Up to £42,000 + 30% night shift premium (up to £54,600) | Permanent | 37.5 hours | 22:00–06:15 | Early Friday finish
Cubiq Recruitment is working with a leading global aerospace OEM to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for its advanced manufacturing facility in Sheffield.
This is a hands-on maintenance role supporting a high-tech production environment, with responsibility for keeping CNC machinery and other manufacturing equipment available, reliable and ready for production.
The role

Planned preventative maintenance and condition-based inspections

Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults

Respond to CNC machine breakdowns and restore equipment to production

Machine installation, alignment, calibration and commissioning

Fault finding using engineering drawings, electrical schematics and PLC/HMI documentation

Support root cause investigations and implement corrective actions

Manage critical spares and maintenance inventory

Support equipment reliability and continuous improvement projects

Provide guidance to less experienced technicians
What we're looking for
We're particularly interested in experienced maintenance engineers or technicians from CNC machining, precision engineering, aerospace, automotive or other automated manufacturing environments.
You'll ideally have:

Multi-skilled maintenance experience with an electrical bias

Mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding skills

Experience maintaining CNC or complex production machinery

Experience fault finding on PLCs and HMIs
-
Ability to read electrical and engineering drawings and schematics
-
Level 3 engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
-
Around 5+ years' post-apprenticeship maintenance experience
Experience with FANUC, Siemens, PLC programming, an HNC or aerospace manufacturing would be useful but isn't essential.
