Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire (LE14 Area)
Salary: Up to £47,689 per annum (including shift allowance) + Excellent Benefits
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights) - 6:00am to 6:00pm / 6:00pm to 6:00am

A well-established and highly respected food manufacturing business is seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join its engineering team at a modern production facility in Leicestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer looking to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where reliability, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence are key priorities.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across production equipment.

• Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimise downtime through effective fault finding and repair.

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults on a range of manufacturing machinery.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

• Ensure all engineering activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

• Work collaboratively with production teams to maximise plant efficiency.

• Time-served engineering apprenticeship or recognised engineering qualification.

• Experience working within a manufacturing, food, FMCG, packaging, or process environment.

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• Electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience.

• Ability to work effectively within a rotating days and nights shift pattern.

• A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.

• Salary up to £47,689 per annum (including shift allowance).
