Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our clients team. This is a hands-on, multi-skilled position involving both electrical and mechanical maintenance in an industrial environment. 

Contract Type: 12-week temp-to-perm
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday Days
Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on a range of plant equipment including:

  • Conveyors

  • Electronic Control Panels

  • Motors, Gearboxes & Bearings

  • Vibratory Screeners & Feeders

  • Air Density & Eddy Current Separators

  • Drying Equipment

  • Feed Hoppers

  • Automatic Optical Sorting Equipment

• Conduct both proactive and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.

• Carry out welding (stick and MIG) and fabrication work to a high standard.

• Follow company Health & Safety procedures, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Work both independently and as part of a team to meet production and efficiency targets.

Requirements / Person Specification

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in plant fitting and maintenance within an industrial environment.

• Strong commitment to safe working practices.

• Multi-skilled background – both Electrical & Mechanical knowledge essential.

• High standard of design and fabrication skills.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabricate accordingly.

• Strong communication and reporting skills.

• Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously.

• Willingness to be trained in Telehandler and MEWP operation.

• Must provide own small/general-purpose tools (secure storage provided for personal items).
