Hours & Shift Pattern

4-week rotating rota averaging 43 hours per week. The pattern includes early, day, late and night shifts, plus one Saturday in four.

The Company

We are recruiting for a well established specialist manufacturer with a strong order book, ongoing capital investment and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement. The Role

You will join a small, busy and effective engineering team providing both mechanical and electrical support across a range of production plant and equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Rapid response to breakdowns with effective fault diagnosis and root-cause problem solving.
  • Planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise machinery output.
  • Maintaining high standards of engineering work, housekeeping and health & safety.
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects.
  • Working effectively both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

This is a hands on role where your diagnostic skills and practical approach will be used daily.

What We Are Looking For

  • Skilled in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Minimum City & Guilds Level 2, ONC, HNC, Higher Level Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong fault-finding ability with a focus on identifying root causes.
  • Experience with safe systems of work including permits to work, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to prioritise effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.

Desirable

Practical PLC experience and 17th or 18th Edition electrical knowledge.
