Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to step away from shift work and use your industry expertise to develop the next generation of engineering talent?

On offer is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist engineering training environment where you'll work with highly motivated apprentices while receiving ongoing professional development and support. Whether you already have training experience or are looking to move into education for the first time, full teacher training and mentoring can be provided.

This role is based within a modern engineering training facility working closely with leading manufacturing employers. You'll play a key role in delivering apprenticeship programmes, helping learners develop the technical knowledge, practical skills and behaviours required for successful careers in engineering.

In this position, you'll deliver both practical and classroom-based training, assess learner progress, conduct regular reviews with apprentices and employers, and contribute to the continued development of engineering programmes. You'll work closely with industry partners to ensure training remains relevant, engaging and aligned with employer needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, maintenance, or mechatronics engineering and experience in one or more areas such as electrical systems, mechanical maintenance, PLCs, fluid power, pneumatics, machining, welding, materials, or engineering drawing. Previous teaching experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training and support can be provided.

The Role

* Deliver practical and theory-based engineering training to apprentices and learners
* Assess learner progress and provide regular feedback and support
* Conduct employer and apprentice review meetings throughout the programme
* Support learner recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development
* Work closely with employers to ensure successful apprenticeship delivery

The Person

* Background in Manufacturing, Maintenance or Mechatronics Engineering
* Experience in one or more of the following: Electrical, Mechanical Maintenance, PLCs, Pneumatics, Fluid Power, Welding, Machining, Materials or Engineering Drawing
* Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
* Teaching or training experience desirable but not essential
* Passion for developing apprentices and supporting the next generation of engineers
