We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Technician to join a leading manufacturing and processing operation in Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly automated production environment, supporting critical plant equipment, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to major engineering projects.

This role would suit an experienced maintenance professional with a strong electrical background who enjoys fault finding, problem-solving, and working as part of a high-performing engineering team.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Technician, you'll be responsible for delivering planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance activities across a complex processing facility. You'll play a key role in maximising equipment availability, improving plant performance, and ensuring all engineering activities meet required safety and compliance standards. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities across site assets.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
  • Ensure maintenance records and asset information are accurately maintained within the CMMS system.
  • Assist with delivery of capital projects and equipment upgrades.
  • Work closely with contractors and external suppliers when required.
  • Support plant optimisation and preventative maintenance improvement activities.
  • Participate in breakdown response and first-line engineering support.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and housekeeping.
  • Contribute to business continuity planning and critical asset management.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • Strong background in either Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance.
  • Experience working within manufacturing, FMCG, process, chemical, food & drink, pharmaceutical, or similar industrial environments.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance principles.
  • Experience working within a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement. 

Desirable

  • Experience with Siemens PLCs and fault-finding.
  • Knowledge of process plant, fluid handling, or distillation equipment.
  • Experience with VSDs, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • CompEx qualification.
  • Knowledge of hazardous area environments (ATEX).
  • Mechanical maintenance experience including pumps, pipework, and fluid transfer systems.
