Multi Slide Setter

Experienced Multi-Slide Setter required to join a dynamic and growing manufacturing company with a strong future secured through long‑term customer contracts. As a leading producer of high‑quality springs and pressings for a diverse range of industries, the company operates to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards and is now expanding due to increased demand.

Successful candidate for the role of Multi-Slide Setter should possess a background in automotive manufacturing and must have extensive experience of setting and operating various multi-slide machines. The position of Multi-Slide Setter is offered as a Permanent contract on either day or afternoon shift, with competitive rates of pay, Pension and immediate start available.

Duties of Multi-Slide Setter:

• Set and operate Multi‑slide machines, including Bihler, Simas, Simco and Heenan Froude
• Change over coils and feed material into tools, maintaining smooth production flow
• Set and run high‑speed stainless‑steel strip coil on multi‑slide machinery
• Inspection of the product from appropriate drawings
• Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments
• Work according to Production Plan
• Maintain accurate data/records/documentation associated with your work
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, policies and procedures, codes and legislation including health and safety
• Responsibly use resources and control expenses to meet agreed budgetary controls

Skills/attributes required by successful candidate for the role of Multi-Slide Setter:

• Experience of setting/operating multi-slide machines
• Setting and running high speed progression tools – desirable
• Capable of working on own initiative

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours of Work: 39 hours per week, either Days OR Afternoons (Afternoons +£1.50 per hour Shift Allowance)
Salary: Up to £16.24 per hour (dependent upon experience)
