Multi Trade Plumber

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Plumber to join a local authority repairs and maintenance team on a permanent basis, working across properties throughout Waltham Forest.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of plumbing and multi-trade repairs within council properties, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant health, safety and quality requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for long-term, secure employment, with a permanent contract, company van and fuel card provided.

• Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and installations within residential properties.

• Diagnose and repair plumbing faults efficiently and professionally.

• Undertake a range of associated multi-trade repairs, including basic carpentry, tiling, patch plastering and other general maintenance tasks.

• Respond to reactive repair requests and complete works within agreed timescales.

• Carry out planned and void property maintenance when required.

• Work safely and professionally in occupied and vacant properties.

• Maintain accurate records of work completed using relevant systems.

• Liaise professionally with residents, tenants, colleagues and other contractors.

• Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and local authority standards.

• Maintain tools, equipment and the company vehicle in a safe and serviceable condition.

• Previous experience working as a Plumber/Multi Trade Plumber, ideally within social housing, local authority or housing association environments.

• Strong plumbing repair and maintenance experience.

• Competent across a range of general building trades.

• Relevant plumbing qualification or recognised trade experience.

• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload.

• Full UK driving licence.
