Are you a Multi Trade Supervisor with a strong carpentry or trade background who enjoys leading from the front and getting stuck in on the tools Workshop Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established building company seeking a hands-on Multi Trade Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy site near Effingham, Leatherhead.

This is a working supervisor position, so you'll be managing site operatives, organising workloads, delegating tasks, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, while carrying out general multi-trade duties yourself. Applicants must live near Effingham / Leatherhead, have their own tools and van, and be confident working across a range of site activities.

Duties Include:

  • Supervise and coordinate site operatives on a daily basis.
  • Organise workloads and delegate tasks to ensure work progresses efficiently.
  • Carry out carpentry and general multi-trade work as required.
  • Protect flooring and completed work areas.
  • Complete making good works to a high standard.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised site at all times.
  • Receive, unload and organise site deliveries and materials.
  • Carry out general site duties and assist other trades where required.
  • Ensure health & safety procedures are followed across the site.
  • Lead by example as a hands-on Multi Trade Supervisor.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Multi Trade Supervisor or working foreman.
  • Strong carpentry or recognised trade background - Essential.
  • Must be willing to work on the tools as part of a working supervisor role.
  • Own tools and own van - Essential.
  • Must live near Effingham / Leatherhead - Essential.
  • Excellent organisational and delegation skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Good understanding of general multi-trade building works.
  • Reliable, professional and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail with a strong work ethic.
