Hours: 39 hour working week 08:00 – 16:30 (Monday - Thursday) 08:00 – 15:30 (Friday)

Our client are specialists in the manufacturing of high-end products servicing the marine sector with an ever-increasing product range. They are based on the outskirts of Stalham so own transport is essential as no public transport available to the site 

The Role
We are looking for an experienced and versatile Multi-Skilled Machine Programmer to join our manufacturing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating a range of advanced CNC machinery, including FOM Modus, Bystronic Laser, Bystronic Press Brake, XYZ CNC machines, and Flatbed CNC Routers. Proficiency in Radan, Mastercam, and FOMCAM software is required, although training can be provided.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, enjoys technical problem-solving, and can work across multiple machining platforms with precision and confidence.
Responsibilities:
•Program FOM Modus CNC machining centres, ensuring accurate machining of aluminium profiles. Assist with tooling selection, and ability to operate machine if required to cover holiday and absence.
•Create and optimise cutting programs for Bystronic Laser systems, including nesting, material utilisation, and parameter selection operate machine if required to cover holiday and absence.
•Program Bystronic Press Brake machines, including tooling setup, bend sequencing, and quality checks. operate machine if required to cover holiday and absence.
•Program XYZ CNC machines for precision machining tasks.
•Program and run Flatbed CNC Routers when required for sheet-based materials, ensuring clean, accurate cutting and routing ability to operate machine if required to cover holiday and absence.
•Use Radan, Mastercam, and FOMCAM to generate efficient, accurate CNC programs.
•Interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and technical specifications to produce high-quality components.
•Perform machine setup, calibration, tooling changes, and routine maintenance where required.
•Conduct first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks, adjusting programs or tooling as required.
• Troubleshoot machine, software, and process issues to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve workflow and
efficiency.
•Maintain accurate documentation for programs, tooling, and production processes.
•Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards.

Qualifications/Experience

Essential:
•Proven experience programming and operating:
oAluminium CNC machining centres
oLaser cutting systems
oPress Brake machines
oXYZ CNC machines
oFlatbed CNC Routers
•Desired Strong proficiency in Radan, Mastercam, and FOMCAM, although training can be provided if proficient in other software.
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models.
•Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, cutting parameters, and material behaviour.
•Experience with aluminium, steel, and sheet-based materials.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
•Effective communicator who is approachable and has the ability to engage with the people they interact with.
•Proactive approach to continuous improvement.
•Ability to work to deadlines, and under pressure
•Experience in working within a demanding customer-driven industry, with a structured approach to engineering

Desired:
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with additional CNC or fabrication equipment.
• Forklift or overhead crane certification preferred.
• Background in aluminium fabrication, sheet metal, or precision engineering
