The business currently has 10+ live engineering projects underway and is in the process of securing £2m+ in CAPEX investment, creating an exciting pipeline of future projects and development opportunities.
You will play a key role in delivering electrical projects across the site, installing new equipment, improving existing machinery and infrastructure, and supporting the ongoing development of the engineering function.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Delivering electrical installation and project work across the manufacturing site
- Supporting and implementing CAPEX projects from installation through to commissioning
- Installing, modifying and upgrading electrical systems and machinery
- Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance
- Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and performance
- Working on continuous improvement projects across the site
- Fault finding and resolving electrical issues when required
- Supporting the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
- Working closely with Engineering, Production and Project teams
- Assisting with electrical upgrades, modifications and improvements to existing plant
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high engineering standard
- Contributing ideas and solutions to improve site performance and reliability
About You:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Electrician who enjoys being involved in projects and making improvements, rather than spending every day responding to breakdowns.
You'll ideally have:
- Electrical engineering / maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical installation and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on projects, installations and machinery upgrades
- A recognised electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / equivalent
- Experience with planned and preventative maintenance
- The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Good mechanical / multiskilled capability would be highly advantageous
- Experience supporting or delivering CAPEX projects would be a major advantage
Why This Role?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that is actively investing in its site, equipment and engineering function.
With 10+ projects already underway and £2m+ of potential CAPEX investment, there is genuine opportunity to get involved in major engineering projects, develop your skills and make a visible impact on the future of the site.
If you're an electrical maintenance engineer who wants more than just breakdown maintenance and wants to be involved in projects, installations, improvements and future investment, this could be the role for you.
