Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Thetford | Monday–Friday, 40 hrs/week | Shifts: 06:00–14:30 / 14:00–22:30

A busy manufacturing site in Thetford is looking for an electrically-biased Maintenance Engineer to keep operations running at their best. If you're a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this one's worth a look.

The Role

You'll be at the heart of the site's maintenance operation, handling everything from day-to-day planned maintenance to emergency reactive work across a wide variety of machinery and equipment. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
  • Delivering planned and preventative maintenance programmes to reduce downtime
  • Responding to breakdowns quickly to keep production on track
  • Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Keeping accurate fault records and service logs
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Working closely with production and engineering teams to spot and solve potential issues before they escalate

What You'll Bring

A solid maintenance engineering background, ideally with relevant qualifications and experience gained in a manufacturing setting. You'll also be:

  • Mechanically competent - hydraulic or pneumatic knowledge is a bonus
  • A confident, methodical fault-finder who stays calm under pressure
  • A clear communicator, equally comfortable on the shop floor or in front of management
  • Health and safety aware, with relevant electrical, mechanical, or engineering certifications preferred

What's on Offer

A competitive salary and a genuinely varied role - you'll work across a broad range of systems and machinery, with ongoing training and development supported by an experienced, collaborative team.
