Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assessor

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £39,000 - £40,000

Location: Based at a college in Hull



About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Electro-Mechanical Assessor to visit apprentices within their workplace to assess progress towards their apprenticeship standards. It is essential that applicants have a clear commitment to the development of young people, alongside strong technical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills.

The role will require working across sites in the Humber sub-region, with the necessity to travel to client companies across the UK as the need arises.



Key Responsibilities

  • Visit apprentices in their workplace to conduct assessments and track progress towards apprenticeship standards.

  • Support, guide, and mentor learners in developing their practical skills and occupational competence.

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with workplace employers and learners.

  • Travel across regional sites and client companies nationally as required.



Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Multi-Skilled Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, OR Electrical Engineering (or equivalent relevant trade qualification).

  • Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.

  • Strong technical background and good interpersonal/communication skills.

  • Clear commitment to supporting and developing young people.

  • Annual Leave: 42 days paid annual leave (including bank holidays)

  • Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:15 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

  • Bonus: Annual bonus payment dependent on organisational performance.
