Music Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and creative Music Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school community in Wigan. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and foster a lifelong appreciation of music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inclusive Music lessons that develop students’ performance, composition and listening skills. You will play a key role in encouraging creativity, confidence and self-expression, both in the classroom and through wider school musical opportunities.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Music lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach a range of musical styles, theory and practical skills
• Inspire students through performance, composition and ensemble work
• Lead or contribute to school concerts, productions and extracurricular activities
• Monitor, assess and support student progress effectively
• Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment

The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and a genuine passion for Music education. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply, with full support and mentoring provided.
