Local Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school near Maldon for a passionate Music Teacher to join their team from September on a part-time basis (2 days per week).

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Music Teacher or an ECT looking for a flexible teaching role within a school that values creativity, enrichment and high-quality music education.

You'll be delivering engaging Music lessons, encouraging students to develop confidence, creativity and a lifelong appreciation of music.

The Role

  • Part-time position ā€“ 2 days per week
  • September 2026 start
  • Near Maldon, Essex
  • Teaching Music across Key Stages (experience across KS3/KS4 desirable)
  • Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
  • Working within a supportive and collaborative department
  • Ongoing role with potential to continue beyond the initial placement

We Are Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Music within UK secondary schools
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Passion for inspiring young people through music
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
