A well established secondary school in Camden is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join its successful Performing Arts department on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who can inspire students of all abilities and foster a love of music both inside and outside the classroom. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher or an experienced practitioner, you will be joining a supportive school that values creativity, collaboration and high quality teaching.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. You will play an active role in the wider life of the department by supporting concerts, performances and extracurricular activities that enrich students' learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Assess, monitor and support student progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to concerts, productions, clubs and enrichment activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop the Music curriculum.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and attendance.
  • Support the wider aims and values of the school.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to achieving the best outcomes for every student.
  • The ability to contribute positively to a collaborative department.
